On August 18, Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys released his new pop solo single “Superman.”

“Superman” displays a new side to Carter’s artistry and his solo career, especially since he is releasing content outside of the Backstreet Boys umbrella.

Carter is able to get more personal with this song on this song, thus showcasing original depths in his songwriting.

The lyrics are warm, relevant, and relatable. “I ain’t nobody’s superhero, but I can be your Superman,” Carter sings in the chorus. This song is easily a love letter to his wife and kids, who is able to find fulfillment in his life thanks to his family.

There is a rawness, honesty, and authenticity to “Superman.” In this tune, the male narrator sings about yearning for a more simpler lifestyle. It is uplifting and filled with positivity.

Carter maintains solid control over his voice throughout this performance. Hopefully, the radio airwaves will give this song a fair chance.

This fall, Carter will be embarking on his “Who I Am” solo tour, where he will be bringing his new solo music to the fans. This tour is expected to kick off on October 4th in Lexington, Kentucky.

“Superman” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It is worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners two thumbs up.
